First Step: Choose an asset label material:

White Polyester Asset Labels - These asset labels work well on office furniture, fixtures, computers, office equipment and other fixed assets, which are exposed to normal office conditions including scuffing and mild cleaning chemicals. Permanent pressure sensitive adhesive provides lifetime adhesion. Service temperature range for this asset label is –40°F to +302°F. Minimum application temperature is +50°F. You can store these labels for up to two years at room temperature. This label is 2 mils thick, plus a 1mil pressure sensitive application adhesive.

Matte Silver Polyester Asset Tags - These asset tags have similar performance to our regular polyester noted above, but have a matte silver-colored face stock, which is highly visible and makes graphics easy to read. This material stands up to normal office conditions including scuffing and mild cleaning chemicals. Service temperature range is –20°F to 302°F. Minimum application temperature is +50°F. You can store these labels for up to two years at room temperature. This label is 2 mils thick, plus a 1mil pressure sensitive application adhesive.

Tamper-Evident Polyester Security Seals - Security seals work well in normal office and institutional conditions, when it’s necessary to identify when the label has been tampered with. If removed from its mating surface, a permanent void pattern is left in the security label and mating surface. Service temperature range is –40°F to +302°F (but, the void pattern feature becomes permanently nonfunctional after exposure to +104°F). Minimum application temperature is +50°F. You can store these labels for up to two years at room temperature. This security seal is 1.4 mils thick, plus a 1mil pressure sensitive application adhesive.

Second Step - Design your asset label:

As you place your on-line asset label order, a graphic representation of your label design will appear on the screen. We ask you to print and retain a copy of your design as your “proof”.

• Choose a size - Our post popular size is 1.5” x .75”. Other standard sizes include 2.0” x .75” and 2.0” x 1.0”
• Add your text - include a heading and up to two additional lines (24 characters per line max).
• Add a barcode or serial number (optional - no charge) - Most asset labels and many security seals are ordered with a barcode. But, you can also choose to add a serial number only, or no numbering at all.
  • All barcodes include a human readable below the barcode, so you do not need a scanner to read the barcode number. The most common bar code type (symbology) is code 39, which can be read by all common scanners. Even if you’re not using a barcode system today, including a barcode is a smart decision if you may move to an automated system in the future.   • If you don’t want a barcode, Camcode recommends that you include a serial number, which will allow you to tie numbers to your fixed asset records.
• Add color (optional) – Many customers want to add a color header to their asset labels (not available with security seals as the color covers the “VOID” marking). Camcode offers standard Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.
